BOSTON- After taking on UConn on Saturday at the Winchester Tennis Center, the Boston University women’s tennis team will host Holy Cross on Sunday afternoon at the Track & Tennis Center. Both games start at 1 p.m.
Last weekend, the Terriers (7-7, 1-0 PL) moved to .500 after posting a 4-0 win at Rhode Island and a 4-0 victory over Loyola Maryland in New York. Senior Shelly Yaloz leads BU with 13 singles wins with a freshman Michelle Kleynerman (12) and cadets Erica Di Battista (11) just behind.
In doubles, Yaloz and second year Kaitlin Tan teamed up for a 10-2 record. Graduate student Emily Kim and Di Battista have six victories, while Kleynerman and his second Victoria Carlsten own five wins together.
The Huskies (7-6) are looking to end a three-game losing streak after losses to Bryant (4-3), St. John’s (6-1) and Army West Point (7-0). BU won the last game on the road last season, 4-3.
The Crusaders (5-9) are 0-4 in conference with 4-0 losses to Lafayette, Loyola Maryland and the Black Knights after a 7-0 loss to Colgate. BU won last season’s decision at Holy Cross, 7-0.
After both games, BU will travel to West Point, New York to face Lehigh on Saturday April 9 and the host Black Knights on Sunday April 10.
