Holy Cross to offer the Easter series
The Faculty of the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology will provide spiritual guidance and teaching in various forms throughout the Easter period, from the start of Lent until the Feast of Pentecost. the first round of offers will be a Lenten series entitled “My Soul, My Soul, Arise:” Holy Cross Lenten Reflections. these short video presentations will start on Clean Mondathere and will continue every Monday until Holy Week. The first one sessionentitled “Grant me to see: ” Thoughts on the Lenten Prayer of Saint Ephrem, will beand book March 7and by Fr. George ParseniosDean of Holy Cross. All lessons will be made available through Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and the Holy Cross website.

As the Lenten period turns to Holy Week, an online webinar titled “Stay Here and Watch with Me” (Matt 26:3): Journeying with the Lord through His Last Week in Jerusalem will be led by Dr. James Skedros and Fr. Eugen Pentiuc, PhD (Archbishop Demetrios Professor of the Old Testament, Holy Cross). The webinar will be offered from Palm Sunday to Holy Wednesday during Holy Week, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (EST). Information will be communicated shortly regarding registration.
Finally, the Gospel readings in the Divine Liturgy for each Sunday from Easter to Pentecost are taken from the Gospel according to John. To reflect on these readings in light of our journey to Pentecost, Fr. George Parsenios will offer a series of lectures entitled “From Easter to Pentecost with the Gospel of John”.
In many and diverse ways, therefore, the faculty of the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology seeks to serve the faithful members of the Church in America and beyond. As we enter this time of fasting and reflection, we pray that the whole Church will be blessed with a fruitful Lenten season and a glorious Easter.
