Notre Dame, Holy Cross offers housing update for prospective Gateway students // The Observer

Starting with the Gateway 10.0 cohort, all Gateway students will be guaranteed on-campus housing when they transfer to Notre Dame’s second year, given that the cohort does not exceed 75 students, the program coordinator said. Gateway, Aurelia Wishart, in an email Friday to Current Gateway. years.

Cohort 10.0 refers to students who will enter first year in the fall of 2022.

The email served as a guide for the current early years of Gateway on how to answer questions from prospective Gateway students. In the fall, The Observer reported on the frustrations of members of Cohort 9.0 – part of the Notre Dame Class of 2025 – after they were told there would be no guaranteed housing for them during the 2022-2023 academic year.

Wishart shared the official statement from Notre Dame’s Office of Residential Life: “Once officially admitted to Notre Dame, Gateway students (not older than 75) will be assigned to on-campus housing during the summer prior to their fall enrollment by the Office of Residential Life at Notre Dame. Our Lady.”

Wishart encouraged anyone in the 9.0 cohort to speak to him if the news is “difficult”.
