Memories of Faith: Commemoration of All Saints at Holy Cross Lutheran is November 7 – Salisbury Post

MOCKSVILLLE – All Saints’ Day will be commemorated on Sunday, November 7 at the Lutheran Holy Cross Church, 1913 US Highway South.

The religious service will take place at 9 a.m. at the church, with the celebration of Holy Communion. During the service, loved ones who have passed away within the past ten years will be named.

After their names are read, a chime will sound. Candles will be lit for Jim Anderson, Carol Benson, Connie Benson, Kathleen Chaffin, Charles Fulton, Mildred Hoke, Edith Waller, Warren Werbeck and Margie Wright.

All are invited to attend to remember their loved ones who have lived before.

Bible Fair, BBQ at The Arbor UMC

Arbor United Methodist Church, located at 5545 Woodleaf Road, sponsors a Bible Fair in conjunction with its fall barbecue on Saturday, November 6 at the church from 10 a.m. Bibles will be distributed as long as they last. The Reverend Jacqueline Tookey is the pastor of The Arbor.

Hood Seminar welcoming “Healing and Hope for the Holidays”

The Hood Theological Seminary Chaplaincy Center is hosting a November educational session titled “Healing and Hopes for Vacation Following Traumatic Events” on Monday, November 15, from 10 am to 11:30 am The facilitator will be the Chaplain Reginald Charlestin, Staff Chaplain for Trauma and Critical Care at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.
