Kit Hughes named new Holy Cross sporting director

WORCESTER, Mass. – College of the Holy Cross hires Kit Hughes as new Athletic Director,

Hughes comes from Bowling Green State University where he served as assistant athletic director since July 2020. Hughes has been at Bowling Green since 2014 and prior to that he spent seven years at North Carolina State. He was a graduate assistant on the Boston College football team in 2005 and 2006.

Hughes replaces Marcus Blossom who left Holy Cross in August to become director of athletics at Creighton University.

Hughes will begin his role at Holy Cross in January.

I believe this is an institution where you truly can have it all, and I am thrilled to join the team as we strive to serve, support and challenge our athletics family to achieve their full potential. The best is yet to come and I can’t wait to get started.

Hughes will be introduced to the Holy Cross community at a press conference at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Doran Auditorium inside the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex.
