Holy Trinity wraps up successful fundraising campaign – Beaufort, SC The Island News

From staff reports

The Holy Trinity Classical Christian School last week announced the successful completion of its Campus Vision campaign, raising more than $ 6.1 million, the largest fundraising initiative in the school’s history.

The campaign was launched in September 2020 and ended in November 2021 with a matching challenge launched by a team of anonymous donors. The challenge raised over $ 350,000 in 30 days, exceeding the target.

Over 300 private donors have contributed to the campaign. The funds are dedicated to the construction of phase 1 of the campus development plan in several phases. Construction is expected to begin this spring on a multi-purpose building that will provide space for live performances, a gymnasium, music and multi-purpose classrooms.

“The Holy Trinity Theater Department will benefit tremendously from a real stage and auditorium,” Elizabeth Booman, director of the Holy Trinity Theater Department, said in a statement. “A stage and auditorium will provide the lighting and sound systems that our productions need to be truly professional and visually appealing. This new space will also be a great blessing for every actor in the theater department and will be a sanctuary of storytelling for years to come. “

“A permanent gymnasium is like a dream come true. A facility like this at our Holy Trinity campus will be a game-changer for many reasons, ”said Josiah Tobin, athletic director of Holy Trinity, in a statement. “This will allow our athletes to train on campus. A permanent gymnasium will also help make our school feel more established by providing the opportunity to come together in one place like the whole school for major events. Home games provide another amazing way for our school community to come together by encouraging our athletes, promoting the spirit of the school and building meaningful relationships. “
