Holy spirit

Holy Spirit, impersonal force or loving friend? | Opinion

IIt drives me crazy to read any article or book where the Holy Spirit is mentioned as a nebulous force or energy! The Holy Spirit is not some force or an “it”. An “it” cannot teach you. An “it” cannot comfort you, sustain you, or guide you to all truth! And that’s what Jesus said the Holy Spirit would do. The Scriptures reveal one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is distinct, yet inseparable, eternally one in essence and potency. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead (Trinity) and He is the main teacher, comforter and source of power for the Christian.

THINK ABOUT this. An “it” cannot be afflicted. But the word of God tells us that we can grieve the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4:30 says, “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you were sealed for the day of redemption.” We can grieve the Holy Spirit by our disobedience, or when we neglect God. But I want you to notice something else that this scripture reveals. He says we are sealed by the Holy Spirit! When the devil looks at you, he sees you’re sealed by the Holy Spirit! In the natural realm, a seal binds two things together and prevents anything from coming between them! When Christians are sealed by the Holy Spirit, they are eternally bound to God. God seals us as his own and no devil can break this eternal union! And praise God, I will put the seal of God anytime on the mark of the beast that many people will take at the end of time, when the Antichrist comes in power! This is a subject on which I will write soon.

HERE’S SOMETHING something else to think about. A vague and obscure “it” cannot baptize you into the Body of Christ. An “it” cannot fill you with the life of God, the power of God, and the mind of God! The Holy Spirit kindles the life of God in us! When we repent of our sins and make Jesus our Savior and Lord, our dead spirit is quickened (quickened) by the Holy Spirit. At that time, we are born again and receive eternal life! An “it” cannot do that! I am so thankful for the ministry of the Holy Spirit!
