Get into the Christmas spirit with the caroling concerts of the Augmented Choir of Malvern Holy Trinity

THE HOLY Trinity Augmented Choir conducts two musically important services in the run-up to Christmas.

The first of the group, who sings at Holy Trinity Church, Link Top, Malvern, is a 6:30 p.m. lesson and song service on Sunday, December 12 with mulled wine and tarts served in advance from 5:45 p.m.

A common theme in the music is the importance of Bethlehem at the center of Christmas history.

The second service is the more traditional Nine Lessons and Carols at 10:30 am the following Sunday, December 19, with refreshments served after the service.

The choir attracts singers from across the county and has only recently resumed its public performances.

After the disruption of three blocks, the choir saw many old faces return and attract new singers from Malvern and beyond.

Charles Pavey, organist and conductor at Holy Trinity, Malvern, said: “With an age range of around 60 years, the choir has a wealth of experience with many longtime singers as well as a number of new singers who brought other influences with them.

“The singing services will be two contrasting occasions, creating an atmosphere of both peace and excitement as we prepare for Christmas itself.”
