COVID-19: Holy Rosary Catholic Primary School in London, Ontario, temporarily closes – London

An elementary school in London, Ont., Will close for four days due to staff issues and COVID-19.

In a statement released on Saturday, the London District Catholic School Board (LDCSB) announced that Holy Rosary Catholic Primary School will be closed from April 6 to 9.

The LDCSB said half of students and two-thirds of staff are self-isolating due to three positive cases of COVID-19 at school.

The closure is also due to the continuing shortage of teachers and education assistants, according to the school board.

The LDCSB said the school of 200 students will reopen after spring break, which runs April 12-16.

Students will continue to learn remotely during the temporary closure preceding the break.

On Sunday, two other LDCSB schools also had active cases of COVID-19.

Two cases are active at Mother Teresa Catholic High School and one case is active at St. André Bessette Catholic High School. Both schools remain open.
