“October is the month of the Holy Rosary. I invite the faithful to make a habit of praying the Rosary every day. Let us pray in family and in community, ”Advincula said on Radio Veritas.

His Eminence cited the many miracles attributed to the prayer of the Holy Rosary and to the intercession of the Blessed Mother, particularly in these times of pandemic.

“In this time of pandemic, let us ask for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary by praying the holy rosary. She will never let us down, ”said Cardinal Advincula.

Pope Francis launched the Rosary of Healing for the World against COVID-19 in April of last year to pray for an end to the pandemic.

Cardinal Advincula cited the many examples in history where justice, healing and freedom have prevailed through the prayer of the Holy Rosary which began in 1214 after the Blessed Mother presented the Rosary to Saint Dominic.

Devotees can join in the prayer of the Rosary on Radio Veritas every day at 4 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Pope Leo XIII declared October as the month of the Holy Rosary in 1884. Catholics will celebrate the feast of the Most Holy Rosary on October 7th.
